Biography

I am proud to be the part of Breaking Barriers Women (BBW) that has been able to ensure its interventions for the Vulnerables; espacial focus to the Women and Girls, and person with disabilities. I have a privileged to see the work of BBW at the feild of Balochistan, where I am able to speak to our partners and local communities about the importance of including women and Girls, and Person with disabilities in the process of development. We are happy to have the equal representation of Wemen and Girls, and PWDs just not only in community level but as well as at our institutional level too. We ensure that our organizational core values of equity, equality, accessibility and mobility is ensured at all level. BBW is one of the leading first Person with disabilities organization in Balochistan which mainly focus on empowering the Women and Girls and Person with disabilities.

Women and Girls (WAG) – Protection Helpline is one of its unique project of strengthening the local communities of Balochistan. This model is unique in its interventions; strengthening the local communities through creating a core community safe groups and strengthening them on the tools of Psychosocial Support so that the support decrease the ratio of Voilence on vulnerable communities. I am pleased to say that we have a referral mechanism including Professionals; lawyers, Benazir Shelter home, Women Development Department Balochistan, Darul Aman, Women police station Balochistan, Civil society organizations and many more working for the same cause; are linked with the communities too for creating a bridge of healing and support. We are hoping to have our best services for the communities in the future.

I am thankful to the Government of Balochistan and our donors with out whome we were unable to scale our modle at the community level. I am optimistic that we will reach our goal of empowering Women and Girls, and Person with disabilities. I am thankful to the management of BBW without whome non of this would be possible.
